Mechanical Laborer
Job Description: The Mechanical Laborer provides essential manual labor and mechanical support on construction sites. This role involves operating equipment, moving materials, and supporting skilled trades in the execution of construction activities. A successful Mechanical Laborer works efficiently, follows safety procedures, and maintains a commitment to quality and safety. You will work on diverse construction projects across Kenya, operate equipment safely, and ensure site productivity and organization. This position offers the opportunity to work on professional construction projects and develop your construction labor and mechanical skills.
Responsibilities
- •Operate mechanical equipment and machinery on construction sites
- •Move, load, and unload construction materials
- •Assist skilled trades with construction activities
- •Prepare work areas and organize materials
- •Maintain construction site cleanliness and organization
- •Comply with health and safety procedures
- •Support equipment maintenance and care
- •Coordinate material movement and logistics
- •Assist with site setup and equipment positioning
- •Perform general construction site labor tasks
- •Report equipment issues and safety concerns
- •Maintain accurate records of materials and activities
Requirements
- ✓Primary education (Standard 8/Form 1) or higher
- ✓Minimum 2 years of construction site labor experience
- ✓Physical capability to perform heavy manual labor
- ✓Understanding of basic construction safety procedures
- ✓Ability to operate basic mechanical equipment
- ✓Strong work ethic and reliability
- ✓Good teamwork and communication skills
- ✓Valid driver's license (preferred)
- ✓Commitment to safety and quality
- ✓Willingness to work in challenging site conditions
