Managing Director
Job Description: The Managing Director is the chief executive responsible for the overall strategic direction, operations, and performance of BMI Associates LLC. This role involves setting company strategy, managing senior leadership, overseeing financial performance, and representing the company to stakeholders. A successful Managing Director is a visionary leader with extensive business experience and a proven track record of successful company leadership. You will drive strategic initiatives, build and lead high-performing teams, manage company finances, and ensure sustainable growth. This position offers the opportunity to lead a premier construction and engineering firm and shape its future direction.
Responsibilities
- •Develop and implement overall company strategy and business plans
- •Oversee all company operations and performance metrics
- •Lead and manage executive management team
- •Ensure financial performance and profitability targets are met
- •Represent company to clients, stakeholders, and external parties
- •Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners
- •Oversee new business development and market expansion
- •Manage company budgets, investments, and financial planning
- •Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- •Build and maintain company culture and employee engagement
- •Make strategic decisions on major business matters
- •Report to Board of Directors on company performance
Requirements
- ✓Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred
- ✓Minimum 15+ years of progressive business leadership experience
- ✓At least 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or related industry
- ✓Proven track record of leading profitable organizations
- ✓Strong financial acumen and business strategy expertise
- ✓Excellent leadership and people management skills
- ✓Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- ✓Experience in the Kenyan business environment and market
- ✓Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities
- ✓Demonstrated ability to drive growth and innovation
